India Is Going Gaga Over Anushka’s Traditional Red Benarasi Saree That She Wore On Her Reception Party

Ever since the people got to know about Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma’s relationship, they just couldn’t resist talking about it. Amid all the speculation and guesswork surrounding their wedding, the couple tied the knot on December 11 in a private ceremony. They announced their wedding on social media and in no time, it became the talk of the town.

While people were still not able to get over the grandeur of their wedding, the reception thrown them in Delhi on December 20 at Hotel Taj Palace’s Raja Baugh area, also became a hot topic of discussion for everyone. Prime Minister Narendra Modi attending the ceremony had all the media attention.

Virat looked a total gentleman in a black achkan with buttons made of 18k gold, white churidaar, a heavy hand-embroidered pashmina shawl with golden border and black mojris. Anushka on the other hand appeared a completely traditionally newly wed in a red Benarasi saree, a bun encircled by mogra gajra, chuda, heavy jewelry, bindi and sindoor.
