Virat Kohli’s lookalike is ready to enter Bollywood! Full story here
Amit Mishra is the person born with an extreme level of luck. Amit is the dopplegänger of the very famous and loved batsmen of Indian team Virat Kohli.
Amit was born in Sultanpur, Uttar Pradesh, and he graduated in mechanical engineering from GLA University Mathura, Uttar Pradesh. He was very fond of doing anchoring, so he was an anchor and Head of Campus Affairs in his college years. He never thought of becoming an actor but his destiny has written something else for him.
Amit works for BJP in UP as the General Secretary. His family is very simple and have a basic routine, they never imagined their son on this level.
One fine day, Amit was on his way back to his college. He was on the flight where he met Ikram Akhtar, an Indian film writer, director, and founder of IAF (Ikram Akhtar Films). He has been associated as a film writer for major Bollywood hits Ready, Thank You, No Problem, Nayee Padosan, etc. Both started to chat with the obvious point of Virat Kohli face, but the topic changed his route when Amit shared about his future plannings.
He said in the interview, “I told him about my everyday challenges that how the tag Virat Kohli has been stuck with my name and how it bothers me.”
Ikram Akhtar planned to write and direct a movie of this concept. But whom to cast for the film? The person was sitting next to him. Yes, Amit Mishra!
But the tension was not over yet, Amit was in his final year, so the question in front the director was, how to train him for acting? but all you need is the dedication to achieve something.
Ikram is one of the most brilliant personality from the Bollywood and loves facing these obstacles. He created a team and planted the team in Mathura to train Amit for his future efforts. From acting to dance classes, Amit visited every session of training while continuing with his studies.
Currently, Ikram is working on the sequel of ‘Nayee Padosan’ which was released in the year 2003. On the other side, he is running for the movie ‘Virat’ which will show the life of skipper Virat Kohli and his struggles.
He said, “I have contracts from famous banners, they have signed me for advertisements and movies.” But he has also signed NDA (Non-Disclosure Agreement) with them, so no more words.
Commitment is the thing which he learned from Virat. Amit told us his favorite line, “Today you’re 90, practice more to become 90.1, don’t ever go for 89.9.”
He further added, “You have to work hard without losing your confidence, you will definitely achieve something in your life.”
He doesn’t manage his social media accounts, a crew watches out for all posts and updates. Although, he himself sometimes handles Facebook and Instagram. In the interview, he said, “I used to live a normal life on these social networking sites, but people started to disturb me with floods of messages and endless requests.”
Amit wants to prove that God has given birth to him with some special qualities, which are better than skills of Virat. He further described it by saying, “He is the master of his field and I am the expert in my work, the comparison is not good.”
He gets to listen “OMG! You’re so lucky, see you don’t have to do anything, and you’re a superstar.” This is one of the major drawbacks of being the doppelgänger of Virat Kohli. He said, “People should know that I have struggles and challenges of my own part, and I bravely fight with them, why always to add Virat Kohli in my every achievement?”
Just like Virat, Amit also is very conscious about his health and fitness. Same as Virat, Amit spends around 2-3 hours in the gym every day,  he has his personal dietician and fitness experts who plan everything for him.
Amit shared that he doesn’t have to wait in check-in lines at airports. He also feels good when people get excited after seeing him. He said, “I always see a happy face, that’s the best part of being a lookalike of Virat Kohli.”
A show on Star Sports, in which the initial part has been shot by original Virat Kohli, the ground part was done by Amit Mishra. The best part Amit has used Virat Kohli’s real cricket kit.
Virat is the one who inspires Amit in many terms.
