Pehredaar Piya Ki: After Smriti Irani Approaches BCCC, Channel Is Ordered To Change The Time Slot
Sony TV’s Pehredaar Piya Ki is one of the controversial shows in recent times. The mounting trouble around the show’s content has been witnessing new twists and turns. While a campaign was being launched demanding the show to ban, now Broadcasting Content Complaints Council has demanded the channel to change the time slot.

PTI tweeted:
Broadcasting Content Complaints Council asks Sony to move  to 10pm slot, run with scroll it doesn't promote child marriage
A source close to Sony said, “The channel has just got the information and once they receive a notice will they decide on what to do next.”

The show’s producers Shashi and Sumeet Mittal said, “Most of the people who are signing the petition have no clue about the show. They proudly claim they don’t watch TV. When you haven’t seen the show, how can you judge it? We have not shown anything objectionable. As traditional people ourselves, we know our boundaries. There is a sweet platonic relationship between the boy and girl, and that nowhere is against the society.”

Pehredaar Piya Ki is the story of a 10-year-old boy, who is married to an 18-year-old girl. The show landed in trouble when the makers decided to air sequences like the couple celebrating their suhagraat and honeymoon.
