Indian third seed B Sai Praneeth stages comeback against Jonathan Christie! All set to win the men’s single title!

The news:  On Sunday, the Indian Third seed B Sai Praneeth had captured the men’s single title in $1, 20,000 Thailand Open Grand Prix Badminton championships in Bangkok.  This man Praneeth had played well and defeated the Indonesia fourth seed Jonathan Christie 17-21, 21-18, 21-19 only in an hour and 11 minutes of time in the final. Well, this is just marvelous performance seen by Sai coming all way bringing cheers. This victory had opened a long gateway for Praneeth and this is his second consecutive title win following the Singapore Open Victory.
In terms of world ranking, Sai Praneeth is ranked to be on 24 and it is said that he did not had an ideal start in the final and so he went down towards opening game. All is well when it ends well. After the match, Praneeth was interviewed in which he said, “I was just focusing on the rallies. It was a difficult match. The rallies were going too long. But I tried to slowly and slowly build up and I am happy I could win. I thank everyone who supported me.”
Talking about the opposition team, the Indonesia Team had opened up scoring 3-0 lead until the man Praneeth has soon caught up his spirit back and played like never before.  He gave a hit scoring 4-4 and then it became close to the battle till the score was 7-7 before Christie broke out free to maintain the slender edge. The match had up’s and down and at one stage it so happened that the Indonesia shuttle was leading with 14-11. This point all hopes were seldom but yeah Praneeth breathe taking attack had brought the total 14-14 with three straight points.
The match then took a high rampage putting all of the watchers into tension and the both players began to play really well giving strong competition to each other.  And then, the victory of play had sailed where the India’s Sai Praneeth had hit the straight game win. On the other side, the Olympic medalist Saina Newhall’s campaign had ended up in the semi-final of the @1, 20,000 Thailand Grand Prix Gold badminton tournaments on Saturday. Wet to go Sai Praneeth and we are very proud of you. Hope to see more of the playing in the coming matches.
