Indian cricket team is ready to take over Sri Lanka after defeating Pakistan in ICC champion’s trophy 2017

India’s overwhelming triumph over Pakistan in their Champions Trophy opener has introduced a torrential slide of sorts, drawing fire and feedback from all corners coordinated at the Pakistan cricket group. Indian cricket team made a commendable start to the tournament by winning against Pakistan by 124 runs in Birmingham on Sunday. At 10:30 A.M. the match began. Rohit Sharma and Shikhar Dhawan were the opening batsmen who scored 136 runs initially.

There is an interesting pattern observable at the 2017 Champions Trophy. Early development from pace bowlers is perceptibly missing even when the match began at 10:30 A.M. sharp although In England there is always an element of swing. Generally, in Birmingham, there have been the odd circumstances when the ball has moved in reality where the pitches so far have given balance amongst bat and ball. In such circumstances, the captain of Indian cricket team Virat Kohli helped in building up the innings.

Kohli wasn’t in the best of the frame before this tournament, as observed in Australia series and after that in IPL matches, wherein he had suffered from some injury. After some of the disappointing shots, he finally decided to give the strike to Yuvraj Singh.

“I could not go for the big ones because it was tricky. We went off about four times. And we came back in, and so as a player who likes to play the long innings, until the end and usually plays like that for the team, it becomes very difficult to find momentum every time you come back. And all you’ve got to do is play yourself in again. When Yuvi came in, we didn’t go back out again,” reported Kohli after winning the match.

He ran between the wickets and did his best in the match. Though the credits for the match was given to both Yuvraj Singh for blowing Pakistan with impressive hitting and Hardik Pandya who simply flattened them, Virat Kohli also did a great job as a captain.

Beyond this winning, it has been said that the Indian cricket team should follow the same strategy for playing against Sri Lanka. As Sri Lanka players would not test their potential rather they will give their best shot so men in blue should replicate their blueprints that they set against Pakistan.
