The veteran actress, elegance and beauty personified actress Dimple Kapadia turned 60 today.
Once the beautiful actress said, “I was born with a cleft in the chin but Dad didn’t know the difference between a cleft and a dimple. So I was named Dimple.”
Yes, you head it right, the ever-modest Mrs. Gorgeousbones has been gifted a London holiday by her gorgeous daughters Twinkle and Rinki and loving sons-in-law.
The beauty also nicknamed as D.K. Dimpla, Dimps is a big buff of reading, painting and hard work. In addition, the beauty has always been connected to art and owns an assortment of works by the well-known personality, Lalitha Lajmi.
DK bagged immediate recognition with her first flick Bobby (1973) with another well-known superstar Rishi Kapoor. And the age of 60, the beauty can give youngsters a run for their money.
Whether it was a hot scene, television series, or daring act in the movie, she always performed at her best. Another venture, thwarted alas, was a heroic television show for Doordarshan, which was based on Leo Tolstoy’s Anna Karenina. Budgetary restrictions put off the serial from taking place actually.

When Gulzar gave her a special character to play in an episode of the television show Kirdaar, based on mythical short tales, she wasn’t so convinced. He never offered any roles to the actress after that incident.
She was just 16 years old when she tied the nuptial knot to super star Rajesh Khanna. She wedded Rajesh 6 months before Bobby’s release and then took break from Bollywood to look after her kids
In 1984, she entered the film biz once again with Zakhmi Sher, accompanied by a series of winning films that turned the actress a big hit in ‘80s. Her other films comprise Saagar (1985), Jaanbaaz (1986), Bees Saal Baad (1988), Ajooba (1991), Rudaali (1993), Krantiveer (1994), Dil Chahta Hai (2001), Patiala House (2011), Cocktail (2012), Finding Fanny (2014) and Welcome Back (2015).
