Indian Railways Issues Rate List For Food On Trains; Rs.7 For Tea, Rs.50 For Lunch

There have been several complaints against the quality and rates of the food served by IRCTC-approved vendors in Indian trains.

On many occasions, passengers have written on social media about their experiences with the poor quality food and complained about the exorbitant price charged by the vendor.

The Indian Railways has now issued a rate list for the benefit of the passengers. The list is aimed at helping prevent the passengers from getting fleeced by the vendors.

Many welcomed the move by the railways but also pointed out that a lot needs to be done.

The ministry also released a video highlighting the prices of every meal served in the trains.
